Dear Member,
Enclosed is the latest Dates for Your Diary. Don’t worry non-riders – more social events will be on the next list! No budding Steve Redgraves please but the 2nd GVRC Canoe Race is coming….
The schooling at Cabalva is now (weather permitting) on grass so those of you who have been waiting to start lessons again once we were back on the green stuff have got no excuse. We have gone back to regular sessions, every other Thursday, just £6 for members, so put them in your diary. For this regular training we shall be using our own trainers, (Helena, Tracey, Becky). We shall, however, be inviting guest trainers over the summer for additional training days.
Cross country training days are in the pipeline as I know quite a few of you have asked for this.
If you want to join teams, remember to book on the relevant selection day. You may find it useful to attend some of our training sessions too – it makes it much easier to select teams if we have seen you more than just at the selection day.
We have our first informal showjumping show on Thursday evening. I hope to see lots of you there – a good chance to practice away from home in a competitive environment and educate your horse too.
I hope all of you have 15th June for our Area 15 Novice Dressage Qualifier in your diaries. We really do need help to run this show and I haven’t had many volunteers so far. As I said before, the more people that volunteer, the less everyone will have to do. Don’t worry if you have never helped with anything like this before – all that is required is a bit of enthusiasm.

- Setting up on the evenings before
- Dressage and Showjumping stewards
- Dressage writers
- Showjumping arena party (replacing poles etc)
- Help with refreshments
Also enclosed is some information and a rug sale list from Karasel – look at whether your rugs have survived the winter and if not buy now for next winter and save money!
